We’ve long believed that collaboration, not competition, will be how we collectively achieve modal shift across society. This is why we’ve partnered with everyone from car park operators, local councils, charities, other cycle parking manufacturers, bike repair specialists and many more to help make it easier for people to travel sustainably across towns & cities in the UK.

At our core we’ve always focussed on connecting cyclists to secure places to park, and have started to expand this into bike rental and repair services. Which has left us wondering, what else we can do to help connect the wider cycling ecosystem?

This is why we have decided to help our partners speak to our members directly via the Spokesafe app. We can’t think of a better way to reach cyclists when they are actively cycling (well, technically having just stopped cycling - we’re not endorsing peddling while on the blower!).

And first up is our partner London Cycling Campaign (LCC). Yes, we’re sharing London Cycling Campaign messaging to every user who logs onto the Spokesafe app and makes a booking in London.

We’re delighted to play a small part in helping LCC share their Cycle Buddy campaign to our specific audience (and it’s the least we can do after all the work LCC has done - did you notice London has quadrupled it’s cycle network thanks to their campaigning?).

Cycle Buddies is a pioneering program created by LCC that connects new and experienced cyclists to help build confidence, learn new routes and unlock cycling for more Londoners than ever. The platform is free to use and you can find out more & help another Londoner get pedalling at lcc.org.uk/cycle-buddies.

If we really want to make it as easy as possible for people to cycle, we absolutely need to make sure people are aware of the latest campaigns, opportunities & resources available to do so.

This is still a feature in it’s early days but we’re hoping our app will act as a message board, and play a small part in getting more of us moving by bike more often.
