We’re really proud to say it: Cardiff is now home to the UK’s first connected cycle parking network - powered by Spokesafe_OS.
That means cyclists across the city can now access secure lockers at multiple key locations, all through one simple system, using the Spokesafe app or website. Whether you’re heading to the city centre for work, shopping on Queen Street, or catching a train from Cardiff Central, you can now end your journey securely - and stress-free.
A proper network, not just a one-off
Back in August, we launched our first locker site in Cardiff. Since then, the network has grown fast. There are now 31 secure parking spaces across seven city centre locations, forming a joined-up network of Spokesafe lockers that cater for:

E-bikes
Cargo bikes
Every site is available 24/7, with pricing kept flexible:
£1.50 per day, £7.50 per week, or £20 per month.
We designed this with real-world journeys in mind - whether you're commuting, doing the school run, or just cycling into town for a coffee, there's now a secure place to park. The current location are available at:
Wood Street – right by Cardiff Central station, perfect for commuters and visitors
Queen Street – next to the city’s main shopping area
Charles Street – in the heart of the city, ideal for workers and shoppers
Tredegar Street – close to Cardiff Queen Street station
Churchill Way – next to the canal quarter and a growing café and office scene
Westgate Street – outside the Principality Stadium, handy for gigs, games and the city centre
Cardiff Castel - Our first location, which opened in August and has already had over 109 cyclists using the location.
Green lockers for a greener city
These aren’t just any lockers either. Cardiff’s cycle lockers have been fitted with living roofs, helping to green the urban environment and support local biodiversity. They look great too - blending better into city streets and softening the presence of infrastructure in busy pedestrian areas.
It’s a small touch, but one we’re proud of. Secure cycle parking shouldn’t just be functional - it should make cities better places to be.
