Manchester’s Ancoats Mobility Hub is now open for secure cycle parking
We’ve got some great news for anyone cycling around Manchester’s city centre - the Ancoats Mobility Hub is officially open, and you can now book your secure cycle parking space via the Spokesafe app.
We first shared our excitement about this project earlier this year, and now, in partnership with Manchester City Council and APCOA, we’re thrilled to announce that the doors are open and ready to welcome riders from 6th May.
Plenty of space, for every kind of ride
The Hub offers 150 cycle parking spaces, including a mix of Sheffield stands, vertical racks, upper-tier racks (ideal if you’re a bit taller), plus cargo bike and non-standard cycle racks. Whether you're riding a standard bike, an eBike or something a little more specialist, there's a rack here for you - and you can even book the right one in advance, so there’s no scrambling to find a spot when you arrive.
Open 24/7 - just like your schedule
We know city life doesn’t run 9–5, so the Hub is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you’re commuting, running errands, or heading into town late, you’ll have access when you need it. Got a question while you’re there? Our support team is available around the clock, and there’s also a 24/7 helpline just in case.
Flexible pricing that fits your routine
You can choose from daily (£1), weekly (£5) or monthly (£10) pricing options depending on how often you ride. Just sign up via the Spokesafe app, and you can either book on the spot or reserve your space before you leave the house.

Located in the heart of Manchester’s Ancoats neighbourhood, the Mobility Hub is right where people need it most - surrounded by new homes, busy cafes, workplaces and green spaces. It's been built with sustainability at its core, helping to support greener journeys and less congestion in the city centre.
